KVPY 2018: It is a program funded by the Department of Science and Technology, of Government of India. In the year of 1999 was launched by former prime minister Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The students who qualify for KVPY exam become eligible for the fellowship.Also, they can apply for the admission IISER((Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) institutes.

KVPY 2018 Admission Details

  1. SA Category: If you have already enrolled in class 11th standard and have secured minimum 80% marks aggregate in mathematics and science(Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) subjects.
  2. SX Category: Whereas, if you have enrolled in 12th standard still your minimum aggregate must be 80% marks in 10th standard. Also, you must score 60% marks aggregate in Mathematics and Science in 12th class.
  3. SB Category: If you are in the first year of UG course in science stream you can still apply. But, in such case, you must have scored more than 60% aggregate in 12th board exam from science stream. Also, while studying in the first year, your aggregate marks should be 60% in  B.Sc. /B.S. /B.Math. /B.Stat. /Int. M.Sc. /M.S.

KVPY 2018 Exam pattern

  1. It is a computer-based test.
  2. The medium of the exam will be in English and Hindi.
  3. There will be 80 question in SA stream and 120 question in SB/SX stream. All of them will be multiple choice questions (M.C.Q).
  4. The part 1 of SA and SB/SX stream carries one marks for each question whereas for part 2 will be carrying two marks.
  5. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 marks will be deducted from part 1 and whereas 2/4 marks will come from part 2 section.

KVPY Application Form 2018

  1. You have to visit the main KVPY site to register.
  2. First, you must register by clicking on ‘New User.’
  3. After Registration, mention your date of birth, academic details, mobile number and email.
  4. After filling necessary information, then you have to provide login id and password.
  5. Along with your details, you have to choose the test centre.
  6. Most important thing, upload the photo, signature and other applicable certificates.
  7. In the final process, you have to pay the application fee either through net banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.The fees for General/OBC category is Rs 1000 whereas for SC/ST/PWD is Rs 500.

KVPY 2018 Fellowship

In 1999 the KVPY(Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) was started, and its primary objective was to encourage students who are studying science to take research as their career.

Such program gives complete assistant to students, for research and development in Science and technology.
