NCHMCT JEE 2016

NCHMCT JEE 2016 stand for Joint Entrance Exam [J.E.E.] conducted by National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology [N.C.H.M.C.T.]. NCHMCT JEE is used for admission to B. Sc. program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration in various colleges.

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology [NCHMCT]

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology was set up in 1982. It was established by the Government of India as an autonomous body. The purpose was for coordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country.

Initially, the Council was set up as the National Board of Studies in Food Management, Catering & Nutrition under the administrative control of Ministry of Agriculture. It was rechristened as National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology. Currently, the office of the Council is situated at A-34, Sector-62, Noida (U.P.), India. While its registered office is at Pusa, New Delhi.

The Council regulates academics activities in the field of Hospitality Education & Training that is imparted through 21 Central Government sponsored Institutes of Hotel Management, 21 State Government sponsored institutes, 15 Private institutes and 7 Food Craft Institutes.

Eligibility Criteria for NCHMCT JEE 2016

Educational Criteria:

The candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam.

Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core, elective or functional) in the qualifying exam.

Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent exam in 2016 can also appear in J.E.E. 2016 on provisional basis. Provisional admission will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying exam is not submitted at the time of admission.

Age Limit:

For General and O.B.C. category candidates, upper age limit is 22 years as on 1st July 2016. So candidates born on or after 1st July 1994 are eligible.

For S.C. & S.T. category candidates, upper age limit is 25 years as on 1st July 2016. So candidates born on or after 1st July 1991 are eligible.

Upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he or she belongs to i.e. General or S.C. or S.T. or O.B.C.

Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board or Pre-University Certificate shall be accepted as final.

Pattern for Written Exam

The date of Written Test Exam is on 30th April 2016. The test will be held from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi.

There is negative marking of 1/4th. So for each wrong answer, 0.25 mark is deducted from your score. For Aptitude in Social Service, the most inappropriate answer is given negative marking of 0.25.

The most appropriate answer carries 1 mark.
The next appropriate answer carries 0.75 mark.
The next to next appropriate answer carries 0.50 mark.

The NCHMCT JEE 2016 application form will available online only. All the candidates need to apply for NCHMCT JEE by visiting the official website of NCHMCT.

  2. Fill the required details carefully.
  3. Now you have to upload your recent passport size photograph and signature. Find below the details:
